Task 6 - Analysis of at least 5 magazine ads (C grade)*

The main two colours in this magazine advert is Pink and Black and white this could be because it would be the artist's signature colour or the main colours of the album CD pack. The artist's name "Louise Aubrie" is in a big font and in pink, this could be because they want to draw the reader's attention so that the artist's name is clear. There is also a picture of her holding a pink guitar so that people can see what she looks like

This is another ad that I found, at the very top there is the title of the album "Rome" this is easy to see as it stands out. Then there's a picture of a dripping black heart this could attract people's attention because it looks interesting, at the bottom of the advert there are names of a few tracks as well to inform readers about the popular songs on the album.

Here is another magazine ad that I found of Jessie J's album "Who You Are" There are different font sizes and fonts. The biggest font is her name in a gold font, this helps it stand out, it stands out so that readers or fans can easily spot her name easily,

You can see Jessie J's name in the biggest font and in gold, so that it stands out and that it is the first thing that readers will see. Underneath her name you can see the title of her album "Who You Are" in a smaller font and in white. You can see a close up of Jessie J's face she is wearing a black outfit, black nails, lips and dark eyeshadow which goes well with the black, gold and white colour scheme.

The title of the album is called "Lungs" it is in the biggest font so that it is the first thing that the reader can see. The font is in white so it stands out of the black background. You can see a picture of the lead singer posing infront of a bush looking down and you can see a pair of lungs on her chest, which is relating to the album title. You can see at the bottom of the advert that the album is available as a vinyl and you can also download it.

The "Adele21" title has the biggest font so that it stands out, the number is in green so that it shows the difference between the artist's name and the album name. There is a close up of Adele's face and she is looking down at the camera and the photo of her is in black and white which could suggest to many readers that this is a sad album or a breakup album.  At the bottom of the advert there is a smaller picture of what the actual album cover looks like and on top of the album cover in green font it says "available everywhere now" which is being used to inform the reader that this album is already out.
